E-Board Meeting Minutes

March 19, 2007

Fundraisers:

Great Video Productions: We have been asked to hand out fliers for GVP at the A.S.U. and High School Graduations taking place at ASU in May. We could make $1000.00 if we can provide enough people to staff the events during both weeks. The money would go into the General Fund. Some of the times to be covered are in the evening, so students could help too. We need to make a decision and notify Lee. We will put  an announcement on the website asking for volunteers.

 

The Coupon Books  are very close to being ready. Changes are being made following review of the first proof.

 

The Boosters will sell bottled water at Graduation ceremony on June 6th. Volunteers are needed.

 

The Boosters made $62.00 at the Flower sale at the Coronado/Supai concert which was held March 5th.

 

 

Business:

A check designated for Uniform Cleaning fee has been misplaced and may be lost. We are trying to find out if the District will help to pay cleaning fees.

 

A Freshmen Ice-Breaker for incoming Supai band students is planned for some time in May, after AP Exams. Boosters will meet with 8th grade parents while the current band students welcome prospective Freshmen. There are 18 or 19 students currently in the Supai band who are expected to join the CHS band for the 2007-2008 school year.

 

Band Camp will be held August 6-11 at Mingus Mountain. Doc Bennett has been granted permission to miss teacher in-service to attend the camp. Cost is expected to be $227.00 per person.

 

We are still seeking the donation of one more rifle for the David Sampson Award for Color Guard members.
