Secretary’s Report:  (As posted on the website)

Francine Porter motioned to accept the December minutes. Mlee Martineau seconded. Motion passed. Bob Ingram received correspondence from Minds in Motion thanking us for our donation of $300.00.

Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s Report was presented. Kathy Hermanson is still working with Robert Fulgum to complete takeover of the Treasurer’s position and transfer records. Becky Ingram motioned to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Francine Porter seconded. Motion passed.

Fundraisers:

Great Video Productions: The Boosters have received $500.00 for handing out fliers in December at the ASU Graduation.

Mardi Gras Day: This fundraiser will be 2/17/07 at the United Methodist Church in Tempe. The event will raise money for Katrina victims, and the Boosters will sell cotton candy. We will split the proceeds 50-50 with the church. Volunteers are needed to make/sell/serve. Students are encouraged to volunteer at this event for community service credit.

There will be a Yard Sale on February 9-11 at the home of Bob and Becky Ingram, 2806 N. 70th Street. Donations will be accepted February 7th at the band room or Thursday evening or Friday morning at the Ingram’s. For large items, call Kathy Hermanson. Francine Porter will check on the cost of a newspaper ad. Doc will make an announcement to the students.

The Coupon Book event is supposed to begin in February.  We have been told that half of the merchants on the list have been contacted.

Time Share: Kathy H. has not been able to follow up on this as yet.

Business:

The E-Board will hold a Budget Meeting on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the band room.

Spring Tour:  The first of three student payments for the Spring Tour is due tomorrow. Please note that only half of the trip cost can come from tax credit monies. Some students are waiting for account balances from their student booster accounts. Kathy H will get the report on Saturday. Dede Powers is working on a contract with permission/medical/behavior forms for students which must be completed before the trip. It will include an itinerary, packing list, guidelines and expectations. Chaparones will have to have a background check, but no one knows who will cover this cost. Doc will try to find out more info.

Supai Registration/Ice Breaker: We discussed a welcome meeting for incoming freshman band students. It would be an “ice-breaker” party or get-together where the 8th graders and band students would have snacks and activities and prospective student’s parents would meet with the boosters to learn about the group.

School Calendar: We expect the school calendar to be approved January 16th. We need to find a location for Band Camp. Mingus is first choice. Plan B would be Band Camp during fall break.
