Business:
The E-Board held
a Budget Meeting on
January 22, and the resulting budget for 2007-2008 was presented (see Budget
Worksheet). The following items were discussed:
Q: Steve Toupal
asked if the budget included costs of band competitions and Band Days, like
NAU. A: Most fees are covered by the District. The Boosters pay for equipment
truck rental which enables us to drive – the District would be required to hire
a driver.
Q: Steve Toupal
asked if jacket fees for seniors were included in the budget. A: No. This year
the Boosters gave the jackets to seniors as a gift for sticking out a difficult
year.
Q: John Komlos asked about Spring
Drumline for 2007-2008. A: If there is a Spring Drumline, the students involved
will have to pay the costs. It would not be a scheduled class, but an
extracurricular activity, so no funding would come from the District.
Ella Bristow
motioned to accept the proposed budget. Steve Toupal
seconded. Motion passed.
Spring Tour:
The last of three student payments for the Spring Tour is due March 1.
Please note that only half of the trip cost can come from tax credit monies.
