Band Camp Rules; Web site address; Parent involvement; fundraising.  Introduced this year’s Guard Instructor, former CHS student Ruthie Krause. Mr. Biera was introduced and spoke about Registration for students.

Secretary’s Report:  (Posted on the website)

Treasurer’s Report:

The executive Board elected to delay this report until the next meeting.

Fundraisers:

Anthony Calderone presented the fundraising opportunity offered by his company, Simple Fundraiser.

This is a Time Share opportunity where qualified couples earn money and gifts for themselves and the Booster Program for attending a sales presentation. There are additional resorts involved now in addition to the Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix. Sedona Pines Resort in Sedona is now participating and, very soon they will add Sunterra Resort and Mayan Palace in Rocky Point, Mexico. The representative recapped the fundraising opportunity. For each qualified couple attending the 90 minute presentation, Simple will pay $100.00, half of which goes to the Boosters, and half to the supported student account. Each couple also receives for themselves a bonus gift which varies by the resort location. They are gift cards, restaurant Dining certificates, golf certificates or Resort Getaways for 1 to 2 night’s stay. A qualified couple is allowed 1 presentation per year. Referrals will earn the Boosters $15.00 per couple.

Coupon Books:  There are still coupon books available for sale.  The expiration date for the coupons is 3/31/08.

Sodexo: Sodexo has requested our help for the fall ASU football concessions. We will not do a beverage stand, but have offered to do a food stand. It will require 6 people and we will finish at 3rd quarter. Becky will handle sign up and scheduling. There is no new information.

Home Football Concessions: Unlike past years, where the Boosters shared home Football game concessions with only the PTO,  this fall we will also share with Sports Boosters parent support group. The Athletic Director will oversee concessions at the new snack bar facility. Proceeds will be divided between the 3 groups.

Community Partners:  Although the chain no longer requires shopper’s cards, Albertson’s  tells us they will continue to offer the Community Partners fundraiser. We will be issued a new number and new cards. There was no response to our inquiry about the program.

Business:

Dues: Coronado Band Booster Membership Dues are due now. Dues are $5.00 per person. Please pay by the October meeting in order to vote in the election of Executive Board members in November.

Polo Shirts: Many Booster members have inquired about Booster T-Shirts. We hope to contact the company and schedule a meeting with them soon.

Future Band Booster Meetings: Due to conflicts in Dr. Bennett’s schedule, the regular monthly meetings of the CHS Band Boosters have been changed to the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Next General meeting is September 11, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. in the Band Room. The Executive Board will now meet every 4th Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Library of the new Band Room.

Facility Use Request: Due to the changes in our meeting dates, a new request will have to be filed with the office for our new meeting dates. Bob Ingram will follow through.
