motioned to accept the November minutes, Ella B. seconded. The motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report: (Posted on the website)
The Treasurer
presented a revised report for the year.

Fundraisers:
Coupon Books: There are 250 coupon books available. The
expiration date for the coupons is
Flower Sales: Francine P. will buy flowers that
will be offered for sale at the Winter Concert.
Sodexho: The Boosters are still working the
ASU football concessions. Students and their families earn money for their
student accounts by helping serve food at ASU home football games. There is one
game left, the Insight Bowl on
Community Partners:
Although the chain no longer requires shopper’s cards, Albertson’s will
continue to offer the Community Partners fundraiser. There are new cards which
are available from the Band Boosters or from Doc Bennett. Rewards earned from
store purchases go to the Band Boosters.
Candy Bar
Information: Nathan
P. investigated candy bar sales for both Sees Candy Company and World Famous
and presented his findings. Due to District rules, we would not be allowed to
sell candy on campus.
Other Fundraisers: BACH will be selling Luminarias. There is a flyer/order form on
the website. Payments can be mailed and will be sent to the Booster P.O. Box.
Nathan P. will make an announcement at the Winter Concert regarding tax
credit donations. Donations should be mailed or taken to the bookstore or
given to Doc Bennett. Be sure to specify Coronado Band, Student Name and I.D.
and Spring Trip. Doc Bennett provided info about a fundraiser at Desert
Mountain HS: they have earned a substantial amount of money from Frys Food Stores with their shoppers
card link. Costco may be another possible source. We will look into
it. We need other ideas for student
fundraisers.
Business:
Donation: Bob I. motioned that we make a
donation in the amount of $100.00 for the 2 year-old daughter of Chris Rainer,
the Mesquite HS Assistant Band Director who died recently in a tragic auto
accident. Ella B. seconded. The motion passed.
Pot Luck Picnic: Nathan P. suggested that the Boosters
host a pot luck/picnic for students and parents. We want to have something fun
and non-threatening to get to know new parents and get them involved. We may
also invite incoming Supai students and their
parents. We would not be able to hold it at the school, so will look into
renting a Ramada at
Status of Financial Issues: Antonio Hernandez, our Percussion
Instructor and writer of most of the Marching Band Drill, has not responded to
email concerning the fees we owe him. We were waiting for that info to
determine the amount of money available to compensate other staff members, Stevie Hagel (percussion) and
Ruthie Krause (Guard). Bob
Spring Trip: The Spring Concert Band Trip will be
E Board: There will be no December E Board
meeting.
Storage Container: There is no update.
Other: The new Auditorium will be ready for
move in sometime in January, pending inspections. Dedication will be in March.
